The town castle of Andernach. Built in the 12th century. It is one of the best-preserved castle ruins on the Middle Rhine. Its shell is scarred. Its core is stable. A popular place. In the middle of Andernach. The town castle regularly provides the backdrop for the Bäckerjungenfest (baker's boy festival) and the medieval Halunkenmarkt (scoundrel market). Only the substructure of a ring wall and the remains of the customs tower are preserved today. A beautiful place to stay.
